Breast Ultrasound ABUS

Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to visualize the breast and is used to evaluate abnormalities, such as cysts and solid masses, which are found during a mammogram or physical exam. It is a suitable option for young women with dense breast tissue after a lump has been detected that is difficult to see on a mammogram. In addition to mammography, breast ultrasound is also used as a screening mechanism for patients who are asymptomatic but have dense breast tissue.
